Charli XCX and Lost in the Countryside....

Ooooh hiya!
It's been a busy week in Whirlers Central including getting lost in the countryside, supermarket scrums and working on the quickly approaching exhibition!!!
So, Charli XCX recently wore my stuff from SS10 for her performance at the Bestival Launch party alongside Alex Metric...she also rocked it for her shoot with Action Aid...exciting times! Charli is a singer/songwriter from the UK who started whacking out the tunes at only 14 and to date has had airplay on Radio 1, been shot by David Bailey for British Vogue as well as posed for Rankin!!!


Yesterday me and my friend Cara...(who also writes a juicy blog and is obsessed with Lady Gaga...www.caravision.com ) decided to brave the Central European train network of doom to make the out of town visit to the HUGGGE fabric warehouse....the same scenario also happened last time I attempted to get here and we ended up taking the wrong train...we found ourselves on some random non-stop train to some Austrian town a million miles away and the train conductor was not impressed with our antics. The venture however was totally worth the drama and I bought so many fabrics that I nearly broke my arms....in amongst all the gourmet fabrics they also sell a whole load of shit...imagine my delight when I found a pack of 6 totally sick novelty Easter candles for only 1 Euro?! There were gross ornaments and allsorts being whipped in my trolley!


Ok so I will leave you a shot of Prater funfair...which is my favourite place in Vienna and houses the most awesome beer garden in the world....and a rainy shot of the vicinity!!!!

What's been going downnnn.....

Hallo!(Coz' that's what they say here!)
So...thought I would check in with some tra la la...UPDATESS!
I've been in Whirlers Central for a week now...and I am super happy...and I am pleased to have found a hidden gem in Vienna....
My debut at Vienna Fashion Week is a welcome change...and I'm counting down the days till my show...23rd September!!Woooop!
In between sewing by the window...and gazing at the beautiful view...I have been getting to grips with Whirlers....
There's so much to see and do here....
First talking point...Prater....my new favourite place...now as we all know I do love a good funfair and a hot gypsy boy....so Prater is the most awesome place ever!
It's a big old theme park....some bits are kinda sick and old skool....SUPER SICK puppets and clowns...even one that appears to be brandishing a KNIFE!GOSHHHH! They have lots of AMAZING rides and games....and the BEST beer garden that hosts some gourmet Veggie options on the menu!!!
I also rocked the zoo...and visited the beautiful Shonbrunn Palace...which is like a mini Versailles and met some awesome people!!!
I am falling more and more in love with the Museums Quartier everyday, as there's always so many things going on there and it's nice to be based in a complex with so many other fellow creatives!
I have a new neighbour...who is a designer also, from the Netherlands....and she's awesome so we have been going on lots of adventures! You can check out her work....HERE!!!
Leonie is also going to be showing at Vienna Fashion Week!!!
We found the BEST fabric warehouse IN THE WORLD!! Bit of a mission to get to...we ended up lost in the Austrian countryside and blagging free trains....but totally worth it!! Floors of zillions of amazing fabric, trims, zips....and also other random stuff like toilet seats....Christmas Baubels, frying pans and the likes!!
