NE1's Fashion Futures: Fashion Front Row at the Baltic!!!

Hellooo!!!
Just a quick one to share some photos from a recent event I was involved in earlier this month!
I was super happy to be invited by the team at NE1's Fashion Futures to participate in their catwalk show hosted at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art back in my hometown of Newcastle in the UK.
I first showcased my work with them 2 years ago during Newcastle Fashion Week and was mega pleased to get back in the mix again this year.
Earlier this month they presented  NE1's Fashion Futures: Fashion Front Row catwalk show at the Baltic and I showed 5 looks from various projects.
The event itself was part of a 2 day programme hosted by NE1's Fashion Futures and included fashion talks from industry professionals including Henry Holland and British Vogue's Alexandra Shulman. The event showcased the work of North East designers and up

and coming graduate talent.
Such an honor to be invited to be part of such a wonderful
event back in my hometown!!

I have just returned to Seoul following a visit back to Europe so once the jet lag and tireness had subsided I  shall update on the joys of my time back on home turf and a burek infused Balkan jaunt!!!

Up North and CAKE-LET-DOWN....

Just wanted to unleash a couple of bits of latest press.....a couple of the newspapers, the Chronicle and the Journal up in Newcastle, where I grew up, wrote all about my stint as Artist in Residence over here in Vienna!! Oh yes...and they talked about my entry into the competition of dreams...which is....

Also wanted to tell you about CAKE-LET-DOWN....in an attempt to sample all of the Viennese cakes possible...I got a new one called "Marzipan Cake"...oh I tell you the anticipation for this one was IMMENSE...i do love a bit of marzipan....But, I have to tell you....THIS CAKE SUCKED!!! DRY.AS.STICKS.....

Oooohhh IIIYYYA!!!

I recently was asked to write a short trend prediction piece for "The Journal"....oooh check it out!

Also I would like to thank Liz Lamb from NCJMedia who came down from the North East over fashion week and also interviewed me backstage at my show....she whipped out a great write -up which was printed in my local paper back up home last week! I especially like the bit in which I announce that I had thrown up twice!!ha ha ha!!!

OOOOH Cover of ITGuide....

Yo Yo Yo.....

So...me hailing from the North East and all that...it's exciting when what I do gets recognised up North!!!A couple of lovely girls called Kate and Louise have brought out a brand spanking new magazine called "ITGuide" that covers all things juicy in the region from music, restaurants, nightlife.....I did a special interview with the girls and was given a cheeky full page feature and a saucy spot on the front cover of the first issue!!!

Talking of up North....I pegged it up there straight after my trip of dreams to indulge in the festivities!!!It was really nice....lounging around eating chocolate, going holly picking in the forest wearing inappropriate footwear, raucous house parties at New Year, watching crap TV....LOVES IT!

Emma Bell Feature in "The Journal"!!!

So check out a big, fat, juicy 3 page feature on me that popped up in "The Journal" at the weekend!The Journal is my local paper from back up north in Newcastle, so It's really nice to get a bit of exposure back in my hometown!!

Cruising Northern Territory!!!

Byker...Byker...Byker Grove!
I hopped on the train (Yes, with an action packed copy of "That's Life" in hand!!!) and headed North for a few days break to see the family up in Newcastle....which was very nice!!!I had a big catch up with people, ate lots of yummy food, had a "Long Way Down" marathon which has left me now desperately wanting to visit Africa and I have also fallen in love with Ewan McGregor...I want to whiz through Malawi on a motorbike with him!YES PLEASE! My brother also enlightened me on Guitar Hero...which is my new favourite game...I don't usually like computer games...but now I like to think that I'm an expert!!! I also took the time to visit all of my old craft haunts which gave me the chance to pick up some extra special bits and pieces for the new collection....amazing rhinestones, fluffy pom-poms.....twinkly spangly glitter....and lots of it!!!
I also visited my FAVOURITE place....the Sunday flea market at Tynemouth!!!Yayyy!!!!
