THE BELL AT VIENNA FASHION WEEK!

ooohhhh iyyya!!!
Ok...so the past few days have been so busy it's SICK....so finally I am writing to give you an update on what's been going down in WHIRLERS town....
So Wednesday saw my debut at Vienna Fashion Week...which was exciting...
Tuesday night SUPERSTAR stylist and Notion Mag Fashion Editor genius, Alexis Knox, and the wonderful Fashion Assistant Marshall flew in straight from London Fashion Week to get down with the Austrians and prepare for showtime!
We ate a LOT of cake and pulled an allnighter as we prepared to unleash a preview selection of my SS10 collection as part of my runway show....

A few choice highlights of the day:

• showtime!!!!! (obviously)
• experiencing a few RIDICULOUS diva moments (not from our side I might add) of a couple of people who should maybe audition for the next series of Ugly Betty...CRINGE!
• A creepy dude going in for the grope....
• Marshall finding a hot new boyfriend.
• me nearly falling over...AGAIN.

So...was pleased with the response my work got...and it was overall a fun day!

I Love a Good Window Display...

Afternoon!
It's Sunday...so that means gourmet Sunday Veggie Roast is en route! Yes Please!
I've always loved Fortnum and Mason's window displays...they have really cracked a few beauties out of the bag over the years! Like, actually AMAZING. Growing up in Newcastle our equivalent was "Fenwicks Christmas Window"....which I might add, back in the day, was pretty spectacular...(we used to go into town for late night shopping after school on Thursdays....)
Anyways...a few weeks ago, myself, Hayley and amazing accessories designer Random Bangle went on an epic mission, walking all the way from Kensington back to Shoreditch! Many an experience on the way...an impromptu feast for the ears from Bruce Springstein and everything!
Anyway...here are some pictures of Fortnum's recent installation...AMAZING...all of my favourite things in one window display!!!

Saluttttt!!!!
Jeez....it is FREEZING....I put the heating on and it's too hot...I turn the heating off and it's proper chills-ville....you just cant win and there is a mystical draft that I can't decipher the origins of...ergh I don't like it!
So, anywayzzz....last night we shot my lookbook in the amazing gallery space at Beach Blanket Babylon!!Super exciting!
It was actually the first time since my show that I have properly seen the collection all together...things have been pretty crazy since Fashion Week, so when the pieces haven't been zipped up nicely in garment bags, they have been out and about at various different shoots or taken out of my hands...so it was nice to get down to creating some amazing images without the mayhem of being backstage at the show!
This particular photoshoot was actually one of the favourite ones I have ever done as it was TOTALLY cheap laughs akimbo....and I LOVED it!
We had a truely awesome team....MASSIVO thanks to Thom Will who unleashed some photo magical unicorn powers....Superstar Puffy stylist Alexis Knox....Michelle Webb for churning out some GOURMET make-up....Charlie Le Mindu AKA Toodle-Pip for creating CORKER hair in true "STREMFROMS" style (yes, it's his favourite word and replaces the word "Strepsil") ....the super HOT models Rachel and Gui who rocked the Emma Bell threads and looked 1 million% AMAZING and of course the sexy Katie and Hayley who helped us!!!

Yes...I cracked out some pictures as I knew the anticipation would be too much in waiting to clap your eyes on the real shots!!wooo! I'm not impressed that they're kind of fuzzy and I really hope that my camera is not on it's way out as It's covered in pretty pink rhinestones so I love it....

This is one of my all time favourite photos of Charlie and Gui...ever....it makes me laugh soooo much!!! I don't think this picture would look out of place on a channel 4 documentary.....
Yeah...there were some pretty SICK, skanky bagels thrown into the mix...I don't' understand why the vegetarian option always equates to a bit of dirty cheese and brown lettuce....nice....





And of course, as ever....some shapes were thrown...

Yep...so it was hot and I'm soooo incredibly excited to see the finished pictures...so watch this space and all shall be unleashed EL PRONTO!!!

Graduate Fashion Week!!

Hello Turkish Delights....yummy...especially the pistachio flavour...(That guy "Dollar", as previously discussed if you have been avidly perusing my blog...well he said that I looked 'Irish like a Leprechaun because you are a pistachio' the other day....the reason for this being that I was wearing a green cardigan...what a knob!)
So anyway....I finally get round to scanning this bad boy in and giving it a mention...apologies for the crappy scanning but the page was just way too big and it was too much of an effort to wrestle with the boxes beside the scanner to make sure it looked decent...but anyway, you get the gist!
So yes, my old Uni, Westminster recently whacked out their annual show at Graduate Fashion Week and of course I was there with bells on to see this year's creations and rising talent! I have to admit that I don't like the new GFW location at Earls Court....they desperately need new carpets and it all feels a bit rustic for my liking...give me Battersea anyday...they even have an ice cream van where I can purchase my favourite Mint Feasts from and have nice grass to sit on whilst indulging in a picnic....
Anyway, this year I was given the honour of being interviewed, alongside other hot names like Christopher Bailey and Katie Hillier, for the Westminster magazine to accompany the show...It was juicy!
My favourite showcases this year were Charlotte Kennedy and Caroline Roughly!!!Check them out!
